Kuromamesan’s Commitment
“Grandpa and Grandma’s generation seems so interesting!”
Working hard in the fields, splitting firewood in preparation for winter, and eating rice cooked in a rice cooker and pickled vegetables for lunch when they’re hungry! Their treat is eggs laid by chickens. Dad enjoys local festivals and a drink. Mom enjoys steamed buns and chatting away. In the evening, when the kids have gone home, they wash off their sweat in the wooden bath and are ready to do their best again tomorrow!
That’s a wonderful thing, isn’t it? That’s what we admire now, and in collaboration with the grandmothers, we created Kuromame-san!
Introduction of each equipment
kitchen
A kitchen where everyone can cook together! There is even a wheelchair accessible sink, so everyone can enjoy cooking together!

living
The living room has a warm wooden feel and a high ceiling, creating a very open feeling. When the lights are on at night, it becomes a stylish cafe space!

Doma and Okudo-san
We have recreated the earthen floor that was found in every home in the past. You can enjoy delicious fluffy rice that is unique to Okudo-san. You can also make mochi.

wood stove
During the cold winter, you can gather in front of the wood stove and warm up while adding firewood.

bath
The bathtub is made of natural Aomori hiba wood and surrounded by Towada stone, and the negative ions make you feel as if you are bathing in the forest. It is also suitable for those who are wheelchair bound and cannot stand. Caregivers with specialized care skills will help you bathe safely.

toilet
There are five toilets of various sizes and shapes. The handrails are designed to be easy for everyone to use! There is also a standing toilet, which is convenient for men as well as wheelchair users!

Outdoor facilities (roof)
I work in the fields and have a cup of tea. I often eat here too. Locals also use it as a barbecue spot!

Kuromamesan FARM
The large site also produces seasonal vegetables and freshly laid eggs.

Accommodation
This is a private lodging facility where anyone, including the general public, can stay.
